Pedal4prostate 💙🚴‍♂️

The first year I rode in this event  was following the news there was no more treatment available for my Dad- Tony Dodunski -  and I felt by doing this I was supporting the cause he was passionate about. The second he had surprised us all  - , and he  rode in the event himself. He had  busked 1 hour for every year of his life with prostate cancer, he has stood in malls with donation buckets, he has spoken to men of the importance of having a check. Mum and Dad have been co- coordinators for Prostate support, they have supported men and their partners during their journeys.  The fundraising is not just for research for a cure, but to support information evenings, support groups, weekends away for families to just forget for a moment, and for the people behind the scenes making these things happen and many more reasons. Dad was never shy speaking about his journey, not just to inform men and their families of what different scenarios could be and of the different services, support and resources available but also that  life was worth living no matter the outcome of the next result or procedural outcome. On August 14 2020 Dad  peacefully left us  brave and resilient to the very end. I want this to be his legacy,  to continue spreading the message of the importance of men getting checked, and to live life to its fullest.  Please support us and the Prostate and Testicular Cancer Foundation.
