Go solo or create a team

Tackle Hampton Downs on your own or create a workplace/corporate team and get behind a great cause with your colleagues. Or, just team up with a group of mates you usually ride with. There are options to suit everyone.

Riding Solo

Are you a weekend warrior who loves the solitude of the open road, or a passionate recreational cyclist who just wants to make a difference. Group riding is not for everyone, so you are welcome to register as a solo rider.

But don’t worry, you won’t be alone. Team or solo, all our riders receive the same ongoing training, fundraising and event support, from registration to event finish.

If you would like to ride in a team but don’t know other riders let us know and we’ll try and find you a good fit.

Community

Community teams can be any groups of individuals coming together for a common cause. They come in all shapes, sizes and ages, from all walks of life and riding experience. You might form a team that includes your local sports club mates, social cycling buddies, extended families or close friends. The options are endless but the end goal is the same.

Corporate Teams

Pedal4Prostate has over the years been very fortunate to have teams riding from some of New Zealand’s leading companies, that believe in giving back to the community in which they live and work. Often, they choose to ride in support of someone they know who has been affected by prostate cancer.

Many have a male-dominated workforce, although female colleagues are just as keen to get their feet into the pedals.

Forming a corporate team starts with a simple ask - your workplace may have a cycling group as part of its social wellness programme or simply ask someone to join you.
