2026 Pedal4Prostate

Why I’m riding Pedal4Prostate this year

Prostate health has become very real to me this year after going through my own journey and undergoing TURP surgery.

While my experience wasn't prostate cancer, it certainly made me much more aware of prostate health and how important it is for men to talk about it, recognise when something isn't right, and get checked.

Cycling is a big part of my life, so taking part in Pedal4Prostate at Hampton Downs seemed a very natural way to turn that experience into something positive — raising awareness and hopefully some worthwhile funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ.

Like a lot of men, we're often pretty good at getting on with things and not so good at talking about our health.

If sharing my experience encourages even one bloke to stop putting it off, have the conversation and get checked, then the ride will have been worthwhile.

If you'd like to support my ride, I'd be enormously grateful. Every donation helps, but just as importantly, please share the message with the men in your life.
