This year I am taking on Hampton Downs in Pedal4Prostate

One in eight men will develop prostate cancer in their lifetime.  It is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in New Zealand with around 4,000 diagnosed every year.  Approximately 700 good kiwi men die from prostate cancer each year (roughly two every day).  It is estimated that there are around 42,000 men diagnosed with prostate cancer presently living in New Zealand.

This year, to help raise vital funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation who support men and their families living with prostate cancer and to also show my support for a dear colleague presently undergoing treatment, I'm taking on the solo challenge of the Pedal4Prostate cycling event.  This involves a non-stop four-hour ride around the Hampton Downs race circuit on the 11^th of October. I’m hoping to average a speed of 25km/hour and achieve a distance of 100km over that time.  Hopefully much more!  My fundraising target is $1,000 or just $10 per km.
