Terms & Conditions for Community Fundraisers

By registering your Community Fundraiser (the Registered Fundraising Activity) with Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ (PCFNZ) you (the registered Fundraiser) acknowledge and agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions (as may be amended by PCFNZ from time to time):

Community fundraising is all fundraising that is completed by members of the public, not an event or campaign run by PCFNZ. We are not able to assist with promoting your event, organising goods and services or supplying prizes. We can help support your fundraising efforts by sharing any event-related social media posts (provided you tag us in), by sharing best practices, supplying branded collateral and education material, and when possible, arranging volunteer assistance.

PCFNZ cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, property damage or financial losses that may occur as a result of the fundraiser.

It is the responsibility of you, the event organiser, to fulfil any legal obligations for fundraising and comply with any regulations. This includes organising any permits, licenses, insurance or authorities to fundraise where necessary. This information will be available from your local council.

Persons under 16 years of age collecting donations, or money, must be accompanied by an adult.

If considering sponsors for your event, please do not approach PCFNZ's current sponsors or partners. If you are unsure, please contact us at events@prostate.org.nz prior to reaching out to potential sponsors.

When promoting your event, please clearly state how much of the money donated will be given to PCFNZ. Here are some suggested statements:

  • All funds raised will support Prostate Cancer Foundation New Zealand
  • All proceeds will be donated to Prostate Cancer Foundation New Zealand
  • $x or %x of funds raised will be donated to Prostate Cancer Foundation New Zealand

PCFNZ will supply official logo(s) and guidelines to be used on any material (digital or print) to promote your approved fundraising activities.

  • Any promotional material and collateral that uses the PCFNZ logo must state the words 'Proudly Supporting' or similar before the logo.
  • If you are unable to adhere to the above conditions, please use the words 'proudly supporting Prostate Cancer Foundation New Zealand' in text without using the logo.
  • All promotional materials and collateral must be approved by PCFNZ prior to going to print or being distributed.

If the media (such as TV, radio, newspaper or bloggers) is requested, or expected to cover or publicise the event, you must advise PCFNZ as soon as possible, but no later than one business day prior to the event. Publicity for your event may not imply that the event is hosted or cohosted by PCFNZ, or that PCFNZ is involved as anything other than the beneficiary.

Please make sure all money raised outside of this platform is transferred to PCFNZ within three months of your fundraiser being completed.

PCFNZ will not incur any expenses associated with your fundraiser.
