The Longest Beat

By Paul Bondsfield

I'm fundraising for a great cause!

You may or may not know that cancer has visited my family on more than one occasion in the past with both my Dad and my Uncle Alan succumbing to prostate cancer, and very recently has come back.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Kiwi men and the third highest cause of cancer death in men. Every year more than 4,000 men in New Zealand are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Every donation I receive means the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ can continue to help by funding research, provide education and offer support services for men and their families living with prostate cancer.

To help raise funds, I am going to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for a marathon drumming session (last broken in 2015) by playing for a total of 144 hours, or exactly six days non stop in March 2023.

Please donate whatever you can, and share this attempt across all your social channels. Follow The Longest Beat on Facebook for updates  https://www.facebook.com/TheLongestBeat

Thank you for your support, it means a huge amount.

Paul

My Updates

Guinness World Record

Thursday 10th Nov
So, it's now official. I've had the nod from the guys at Guinness World Records and the attempt is logged, tagged, bagged and definitely on.
The paperwork is comprehensive - and I'm going to need a range of support people during the event, such as timekeepers, witnesses, stewards etc, so please, please if you can be there, I'd love to see you.
If you can share this post and my earlier one too, I'd appreciate it. It's time to start building momentum and a crew.
