I'm hoping to walk the Central Otago Rail Trail during the month of March, in memory of my beautiful father, Mike Riddell, who lost his fight with prostate cancer in March 2022, 3 days after his birthday. My Dad was the most amazing man I've ever met. And losing him was devastating. We lose too many good men to this insidious disease. Please help me raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ. I know Dad found their support and aroha invaluable.


I'm currently on a health and wellbeing journey, and have decided to push outside my comfort zone, and attempt a walk I never would have dreamed of 10 weeks ago. During the month of March, I will be walking the 152km trail from Clyde to Middlemarch. Get in touch if you'd like to do a section with me! Please join me in supporting this amazing charity, who get no government funding. And share the shit out of this to raise awareness. Come on guys, go get yourselves checked. You owe it to your families xoxo

Somehow we've already arrived at mid January, which means only 6 weeks until my walk begins.

I will commence on Sunday 1st March, walking from Clyde to Chatto Creek, 23kms should take just over five hours. I'm delighted to have people coming to walk this section with me. Please do get in touch if you're keen to come along. 

I've been doing a few practice runs, and each time it gets tough, I feel Dad right beside me, cheering me on. Dad had everything to live for, but he didn't get that chance. I'm hoping that this journey not only raises funds for Prostate Cancer Foundation NZ, but also encourages men to get checked, and encourages women to pester your men to get checked! Prostate cancer takes too many lives, and the loss is devastating.
